Guest guest
Sat Nam - does anyone have knowledge of or experience with KY for spinal disorders? This one is tricky--spondylolisthesis is basically slippage of the vertebrae (mine is at L5/S1]. The slippage is Grade IV, which means my spine is very precariously "connected" at the point of slippage. Picture two blocks, very unevenly stacked.I am limited in some of the yoga postures I can do. Backbends are a no-no. Nor can I lie on the floor, because my spine sticks out, and pokes into the floor (ouch!)None of this is a complaint--for years I have worked with this disability, and have managed to remain pain free, but lately it has started to get quite bad.I suspect it is related to grief? (my stepmother just died.)In the interest of full disclosure, the "split" of my spine occurred in my childhood, when my personality {and my spirit?] split...from abuse. So any advice on spine health would be so much appreciated. My western doctor, God love him, says there's 'nothing we can do."But we know better
Guest guest
Hi, I had scoliosis as a child and now have 9 fused vertebra upper spine and a very twisted lower spine. Lying on the floor is terribly painful even with padding. One of the best books I have ever found is " Heal Your Back Now " by Nirvair Singh Khalsa. He covers the spine bone by bone and nails what happened in childhood that brought the condition on and then he gives wonderful affirmations to use. The other method I use to deal with life in general and my back pain is EFT, finger tapping on energy merdians on the face and fingers, it takes 3 mintues to do and everything can change. You can learn it for FREE by downloading a pdf file here: http://www.emofree.com/ They also have a very large database, that you can look conditions up in and see how others dealt with, what 'sense testimony' they used in their tapping. I have gotten rid of head colds in 3 minutes. I got rid of asthma, several rounds of 3 min each, but who cares about how many rounds it takes when you are free of the condition. You can use it on emotions, thoughts, even the fantasies that pass through the mind and something will change or dissappear from your life. Anyways, those 2 things should help, Blessings, Sat Avtar Kaur Bothell, WA Kundalini-Yoga , Abner Wilner <senatorabner wrote: > > Sat Nam - does anyone have knowledge of or experience with KY for spinal disorders? > This one is tricky--spondylolisthesis is basically slippage of the vertebrae (mine is at L5/S1].
