Guest guest Posted January 14, 2010 Report Share Posted January 14, 2010 Sat Nam, I am preparing a workshop for healers and I was wondering if you have any recommendation as far as material to read, meditations and kriyas. I was thinking mostly along the lines of protection of the healers energy and health, and grounding. If you have any interesting recommendations as far as increasing healing capacities go, I welcome those too. I heard that Ego Erradicator is recommended for grounding in between clients. I have a friend - healer that has multiple sclerosis and it was recommended for her to not to do BF. Any ideas what else she could do for instant grounding and protection? Guest guest Posted January 14, 2010 Report Share Posted January 14, 2010 Sat Nam Guru Sansar Kaur, There are two very special gifts that Yogi Bhajan gave to his healers that I think is inline with what you are looking for. One is to do before seeing or touching any client. The second is to do after every client. Before you lay your hands on anyone, first wash your hands and arms in cold water. Then you simply grasp your hands together palm to palm and hug the fingers around the hands (a simple clasp). You do this once, then switch hand positions (90 degrees i guess), grasp again, switch again, and grasp a 3rd time. Only 3 times. And ALWAYS 3 times. You do this and you are clear and ready to go for any healing work. 1-2-3. Instant grounding and protection. It's also good to ask the client just before you touch them: " Are you ready? " -- Between clients, or after any client, there is a 3-meditation sequence to clear the energy of the past client. This is a " Gift " from Yogi Bhajan. It goes like this: 1) To Move & Clear the Lymph. Sitting in easy pose. Eyes on tip of Nose. 3 Minutes. A) Chant HAR as you slap the lap with both palms. Concentrate at the inner thigh near the groin. B) Chant HAR as you slap the left shoulder. Strike where the chest and shoulder connects. C) Chant HAR as you slap the right shoulder. Where the chest and shoulder connects. Arm can cross over previous arm. D) Chant HAR as you clap the hands together. Cycle and repeat. You should sweat my notes say. 2) To Clear the Thymus Gland. 3 Times ONLY. Easy Pose. Eyes not specified. Hands together in Prayer Pose. Mantra: A-HUM On " Aaaa " You move the arms and hands together up an away from the body at 45-60 degrees until the arms are straight. On " Hum! " you bring the hands back swiftly to strike the Thymus (I believe right at the sternum notch) with the Base of the Palms. You Strike 3 Times ONLY. 3) To Clear the Head. Eagle Pose (or Ego Eradicator - as you mentioned...) with Breath of Fire for 3 Minutes. All in all, about 7 minutes total. Also, I recommend the book/manual " ra ma da sa sa se so hung " or also known as " HEALING through yoga, meditation and massage " from a course taught in Barcelona Spain on Aug 16-18, 1985. Also, " The Miracle of Healing Hands " by Yogi Bhajan and Waheguru Singh Khalsa. All blessings for your class.
