Guest guest
http://www.vimeo.com/8488819 I just watched this slideshow from Winter Solstice 2009 from the 3HO newsletter. I saw so many familiar faces and it warmed my heart. I haven't been in 5 years. I have a jar/canister where I collect my fee for my students who come to my little yoga class on Saturday mornings. I'm keeping all that money separate this year (not using it for groceries) and using it as a Solstice fund. I hope to see many of you at Summer Solstice. I intend to bring my daughter who will turn 5 on the Summer Solstice. And if I'm lucky I'll bring my husband too. Guest guest
>Dear Sundari Satnam Kaur, I have a ballet and yoga studio and teach for a living. I agree, commitment is a big issue for some people. I think technology has made some people scattered, behind, and disorganized. I sell classes in nine week sessions for $90. They receive one make-up per class, per session. I type on the receipt, " Additional make-ups are not given for personal schedule conflicts. " If the class doesn't fill, I also offer 4 classes for $50. or single classes for $15. This way, if people skip class because they don't feel like coming, I still get paid. It's worked for me. My revenues have dropped significantly with the recession, so I've had to cancel and combine some classes. I am practicing more, taking a new dance class down in Hollywood, and using a free monthly newsletter to help attract like minded people. My Kundalini Yoga classes have been hit the hardest. Things seem to be picking up now, bit by bit. Best of luck to you, Satpal Kaur
