Guest guest
Sat Nam, Agia Akal Singh, as he was known then, was my first yoga teacher in 1982, in Montreal. I had a close encounter with the teacher and the man. My experience, being close to him for about 2 years, has been one of " hell and heaven's " . I am very grateful for the lessons in life I have learned from my experience with him and specially the fact that I am a Sikh and a teacher today. GuruBandhu's description is right on. Agia Akal is very perceptive in pointing out someone weaknesses. He possesses a deep insight of Yogi Bhajan's teachings and extremely creative and articulate. But when it comes to money he is a total disaster, during the time he was my teacher, I supported him financially and through some stupid business projects I ended up loosing everything I had then, that was my lesson of detachment and not to trust blindly what anybody directs you to do. Some kundalini yoga students I personally know in Toronto, where he now resides, had similar and even worst experiences then GuruBandhu's wife about paying in advance for a course that they eventually never gotten. The fact that, Agia Akal Singh is not allowed to any 3HO function, is based on many substanciated events that makes his behavior more then questionnable. The sad fact is that his talent is tainted by his business practices and they also affect Sikh Dharma's and 3HO's reputations. With love and compassion Shabad Saroop Singh
