Guest guest
Sat Nam.I have been following the thread of "Who is the KY teacher" and the subsequent objections to it. I must admit that I am not at all comfortable with the direction this has taken. It sounds as if this teacher has both his supporters and his detractors. Fine, his pros and cons, possibly, could be discussed here in a calm, rational, objective manner, without so much personal venom seeping in, as hard as that might be. I would suggest that a breath meditation before writing may allow one to write in a manner of "action", and not "reaction", much as we are taught. Whatever this teacher may have as his faults and foibles, I would like to remind you that we all have our own.I am saddened because within the framework of this alleged discussion, the personalities of those actually doing the writing have been called in to question and have been, to me who is not even involved, insulting and offensive. I ask you all within this topic, and in other topics, to please think before you hit "send", write with a sense of grace and dignity to only for yourself but for those around the world who will be reading your words. These words do not disappear, they are out there in the ether for all to see, to forward to others if they so desire. On the Internet, we only own our words until they leave our screens, then they belong to everyone.I ask you all to act with discretion, with kindness and compassion for yourselves and for others. Thank you. Many Blessings,Devta Kaurhttp://home.comcast.net/~susanmorgaine
Guest guest
Thank you for writing this. I have also similar feelings to you. It is fine to discuss authentic yoga as compared to not, or even if someone seems to have done out of place things, but it can be done with a dignity. We are all spiritual beings having a human experience. Those experiences take turns along with ebbs and flows. We are all working toward our authentic self. I'm very comfortable with questioning motives and such as that, but it seems so much of this has been fueled by anger. Sat Nam! Guest guest
Sat Nam Devta and others, Simply Googling "Agia Akal" or "Yogi Akal" would have produced a number of distasteful results. Simply ignoring it wouldn't appropriate. As a group, it seems, we have been undergoing a bit of a process. Process isn't always pretty. It can even be said that one shouldn't be afraid to be ugly, because in that is a huge part of the process of becoming whole. If you skip that, then how real or robust is the result? I even remember Yogiji saying "they're not doing the emotional work". What did he mean by that? The important thing is to keep moving, no matter what. When in hell, keep moving...... Keep doing your Sadhana. Keep clearing and connecting. Keep moving the 'guck' to the point where none of it matters and all are forgiven.
