Guest guest
Sat Nam! I am now working with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa's Kundalini Yoga DVD. I posted a question about the Sarah Kline YouTubes and realized today that Gurmukh doesn't tune in with Ong Namo 3x but only once and doesn't tune out by chanting Sat Nam. I am taking the time to do this myself. So,this has also got me thinking about video classes in general. I'm sure most are pressured to keep the classes within an hour's time. I'm wondering if this means that time in between exercises isn't as long as normal. I say this while considering the suspended breath exercises in this DVD. They occur after strenuous cardio exercises that get you out of breath. I found it nearly impossible to suspend my breath and pump my stomach while still being a little out of breath. I'm wondering if there should be more time to recover in a " real life " situation, or if there is a way to modify until I am able to do what is asked properly. Be blessed, Kelli
Guest guest
Yes, sometimes on the dvds, rests are pretty compressed, especially after something challenging. So do use the pause on your controller as you see fit. Another thing is the final rest, savasana; they tend to be way too short if you've really given it 100% Luckily, if you're at home and have the time, you have the luxury of enjoying a nice little nap! YB said naps are good, so don't feel guilty at all! Makes me want to go find my blanky right now! The kids won't be little for long, believe it or not, and you'll have more mobility before you know it.
