Guest guest
Sat Nam. Please find the URL to my new blog http://notestomyteacher.blogspot.com (its not yet searchable by the crawlers so you need to put the url into your web browers) Below is the sub headers and introduction for those who would rather not visit another blog...yes, I have a long list of blogs I read also so I understand! This is still new and new to me and lots to work out...I still need an RSS feed (I keep getting an error message even when I type in the correct URL) and as far as links, I will do links in a few months, so for those consider the web of links, please give me a few months. There are three lectures " reviewed " and hopefully one more next week. Feedback is accepted, although realize I am new and I could be over or under welmed...having never sent out a request to a few 1,000 people. I have already incorporated some feedback and have a to do list of more in the works. Prayers are accepted that this blog works out Notes to My Teacher...Yogi Bhajan Commentary on the original lectures of Yogi Bhajan. If your reading this blog, you may have seen him or heard him...live or recorded. We are watching or listening to his original lectures and then sharing our commentary. We are reading this blog to continue our learning and assist us in deciding which lectures we want to see for ourselves. Welcome to the introduction of Notes to My Teacher...Yogi Bhajan. Yogi Bhajan passed away on October 6th, 2004. He was a Master of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. When a Master passes away, there is a gap that needs to be filled, a loss that both challenges us and creates a deeper connection to the teachings. I remember Yogi Bhajan taught a class in Los Angeles...an unannounced class, he showed up at the yoga studio when a regular class was being taught and started teaching...his beginnings words were " I wanted to see if the people loved the teachings or only the yogi " . Although he knew the value of having a living teacher, he also knew the students must connect deeply to the teachings. We are fortunate to be living at a time when we can easily record sound and pictures. In the 35 years Yogi Bhajan taught, he was audio or video recorded over 8,000 times. I am very great full to those individuals and organizations that have processed these unedited recordings. I have been listening and watching the Yogi Bhajan audio and video recordings for my own learning. I want to make certain you don't miss this way of learning. What I am going to do is share with you the essence of each class, along with the meditation. Except there is one caught, my intention is that you listen or watch the Yogi Bhajan lecture youself...and learn directly from him. Well, actually there is another caught...more of a request...I would like you to add your commentary...your understanding...your essence of the lecture. May you explore more deeply the art and science of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation directly with the Master, Yogi Bhajan.
