Passing on Spiritual Trust - CLARIFICATION?

one additional item for clarification - Was the Christmas 1969 teaching given by

Yogi Bhajan in Los Angeles?

 

I arrived from New Mexico on Winter Solstice day and remember that I didn't meet

Yogiji personally for a few days. He did also give a very important teaching on

New Years Eve 1969 - to close the decade of the 1960's, and open the decade of

the 70's which would bring the Aquarian astrological influences of the planet

Uranus into much more powerful access to humanity. It was on the following day,

January 1st, that I spoke with him about beginning to teach Kundalini Yoga. I

taught a Kundalini Yoga class for the first time on January 12th, in Albuquerque

at the Brotherhood of Life Bookstore (who published the first edition of Peace

Lagoon later that year).

 

But in the first few days of the marvel of my first experience of 3HO in

California (where I relocated for 12 years just two months later to be close to

the teacher), I don't recall if he taught the class on Christmas in Los Angeles,

or not. This is another reason why re-circulating the teachings from that early

period is so important.

 

Similarly, KRI has removed collections of early teachings from distribution,

such as the ones on " Identical Identity, " Romance and Reality, " and The Radiant

Body. " These texts involved whole series of lectures and are crucial to

understand minutely (which is not possible by simply hearing the lecture as it

was spoken). Current teacher trainees, and teacher trainers are not becoming

well versed in the subtle underpinnings of Kundalini Yoga, and I agree that this

is a deficiency in the current teacher training system.

 

And, in respect to the concerns some have voiced about mandatory government

sponsored teacher certification, there is no government certification body in

the world that is qualified to validate our knowledge and mastery of what Siri

Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan taught us. The whole idea of mandatory government (or

any other third party) yoga certification is a complete non-starter in terms of

what is True about Kundalini Yoga.
