Guest guest
Sat nam to all yogis and yoginis who replied to my query about blood loss. I did go to a local clinic (a very good one) and started taking some excellent uterus-toning herbs. {The doctor prescriped Premarin and some Progeston thing; I opted for herbs]. A blood transfusion was kind of recommended (I say 'kind of ' because the doctor said it was advisable, but that she wouldn;'t do it if it were her). So now i am on bed-rest and taking iron supps and herbs.new question: during this time of recovery, and replenishing blood supplies, should I hold off on my KY practices? Obviously no physical yoga, but I do practice daily Kirtan kriya and a 'connecting with one's inner Divine" kriya (i can't honestly remember what its called b/c I started it so long ago! )Is there a kriya or meditation or mantra to help build the blood during this time?I am sorry if I freaked anyone out by sending out a 'help, I'm bleeding!' post. I was actually very calm when I wrote it--not anxious. I trust there is always a solution in the body, in our hearts, on this planet....thanks and blessings, love and lightUpma Kaur
Guest guest
SAt Nam, Ayurvedically, bleeding is an imbalance of pitta dosha. To balance pitta, stay away from spicy, sour and salty foods. Keep calm since anger is the enemy of pitta. Long deep breathing would be good to do. Eat sweet, astringent and especially bitter foods and herbs. Nettles is especially good. Eat a lot of leafy greens since the chlorophyll is similar in composition to the blood. In chlorophyll, the magnesium is predominant instead of the iron in blood.
