Guest guest
Greetings all, I've been doing sat kriya for about 2 weeks now and I'm doing it between 3-7 min, and trying to build up my time. I have noticed these past 2 nights that I end up waking really early during the night and then I go back to bed eventually. Normally I sleep really well but I find it strange that I wake up during the night and I feel a bit agitated. The only thing I could think of is that maybe sat kriya may be too stimulating for me? I don't think I'm pulling in my stomach too hard and I try to be gentle. has anyone experienced this? thanks Paula
Guest guest
Sat Nam Paula, Siri Singh Sahib told me to do Sat Kriya daily but only in the mornings. See if that helps. Also, before drifting off to sleep, help yourself enter a deep, satisfying sleep by laying on your belly with your hands in a fist pressing into your navel until you start to feel sleepy, then roll over on your right side until your breath switches clearly to the left nostril. Finally, lay on your back in " dead man's pose " to enjoy a deep and dreamless sleep. Guest guest
Sat Nam, It may help to think of pulling in on sat kriya as more of a nurturing squeeze rather than an snap. Also, it's unique to this " total kriya " to deep relax twice the time of the exercise. Otherwise, stay at the level you are at, work through it and see if its due to anything else, or if gets better before adding more time. Sat Kriya is one for me that I've had to occasionally 'back off' at some point, and that's OK. Guest guest
Hello all,I'm still doing sat kriya and actually for a 2 nights after I initially posted, I ended up waking up in the middle of the night, not because I felt agitated but because there was some guy in the alley way talking really loudly. since I'm on the first floor, and by the exit doors, I can hear people. I've only woken up once or twice though and I think maybe I'm adapting to the energy. anyways, I've worked up to 11 minutes a couple of times, although for the most part I am doing it for 4-6 minutes and I am making sure I am pulling in my navel appropriately. I really like working with this kriya and am finding it really cathartic. It's a bit of an odd position but it feels really good doing it. Guest guest
Remember to rest for the same length of time that you do the kriya to circulate the energy and get the full benefit...
Guest guest
And even double time is prescribed if just doing it alone. Guest guest
Hello all,I have done a 40 day discipline of sat kriya and am working on my second one. I am doing 11 minutes for most days and would like to increase the time. I did my 11 minutes in the morning yesterday and last night, I honestly don't know if I did 11 minutes or 5 because I ended up forgetting what time I started. Anyways, I figured it's bringing energy to my third eye area because that part of me (and my head), has always held a lot of tension and over the years, I've been slowly loosening it up. I have had several good releases during my discipline. It was odd because maybe for 2 or 3 years, nothing seemed to be happening and then the next time I would do it, I would cry and release so much fear and pain. My head today would feel like it's popping. I don't know how to explain it but probably because I felt I was really feeling more around my third eye area and letting go of tension and probably the popping is just things shifting and settling about. I am sticking to SK and ganapattee kriya and have decided before to do a 120 GP discipline and I think I will do the same for sat kriya. It'll be interesting to see how things unfold for me. I have heard SK is good for stubborn blocks so hopefully I can deal with that so I can move forward in life and be happy and productive and making use of my talents Paula
Guest guest
oops, I meant to write days, instead of years for the following sentence: It was odd because maybe for 2 or 3 years, nothing seemed to be happening and then the next time I would do it, I would cry and release so much fear and pain.
