Sat Nam Satjeet SIngh,

During the summer of 2001 I lived in the ashram in Espanola and worked for 3HO

as temporary course staff. Many other employees also worked for a couple months

there in exchange for their teacher training tuition. Perhaps they still offer

work exchange as opposed to scholarship?

Sat Nam Paula,

I recently completed Sat Kriya for 40 days. I've also been experiencing waking

up in the middle of the night, but I'm not sure when it started. I've kind of

been assuming that my body's response to increased practice is a natural urge to

get up in the Amrit Vela for sadhana. Just a thought. I personally manage to

ignore it most of the time and go back to sleep, even if my intention is

otherwise. :)

Sat Nam Jayanti,

I did Subagh Kriya for 40 days last year. We did it as a community for 40 days

leading up to my yoga teacher's 40th birthday. Fun! I don't think it had many

effects that I expected, perhaps I had some vague notions of financial

prosperity to come. But I did receive some surprising and wonderful things:

1. I realized, while projecting prosperity, that what that really means for me

is the health and happiness of my loved ones.

2. On the first day after stopping (day 41) my urge to smoke cigarettes

completely evaporated. I hadn't been smoking much but a strong urge had always

been there, for 14 years.

3. I could (can?) do a one minute breath!

4. My whistling skills improved greatly. :)

I also experienced many interesting things emotionally and mentally. Things can

really flow, if you let them! It's interesting how a 40 day or beyond practice

kind of forms a natural dance with what's going on in your life. It can feel a

little wild sometimes. Perhaps you could journal?

Sat Nam all, peace and love.

If you have a chance, please chant Akal for my cousin Jason who died last week.

He was a beautiful soul, a disabled man who lived twenty years past what any

doctor thought he might.
