Guest guest
Sat Nam all you beautiful people. Could anyone here explain the difference of the hands in sat kriya? The palms together fingers flat (if you have not taken any drugs) versus fingers interlaced together index finger extended thumbs crossed. Any help on this I would be grateful. Guest guest
Sat Nam Balbir Kaur, I like doing Sat Kriya with all fingers touching in prayer pose, for Sat Kriya can then be used as a powerful, sublime prayer that calls on all ten Gurus--all ten fingers, to channel their blessings, which I use to wash the world. It would not work if you have used drugs, for drugs block this energy through the chakras. Sat Kriya opens energy pathways, but when the chakras are greatly obstructed the process is gradual. Guest guest
Sat Nam. Dear Balibir, The hands create a mudra in Sat Kriya, and either way you do the hands, they should have the palms and mounds of the hand together, with the fingers relaxed. It's just that much harder to keep up the flat connection without breaking the hands apart when the fingers are not locked, especially for longer periods. The full flat connection requires a stronger nervous system and may have a correlation to a more subtle experience... That is why it is suggested to build up to it -- which is harder to do if your nervous system is not strong -- which is the saying the same if you have used any drugs, caffeine or cigarettes in the recent past. An intermediary stage may be hands flat, but thumbs crossed and locked (right over left men, left over right women). Blessings abounding.
