Guest guest
Sat Nam, all! I was hoping that someone could help me... I'm a newbie to Kundalini, and I'm also HoH, and have a hard time understanding the words for Kriyas... I sometimes feel silly singing on " open " syllables, to substitute for what I can't hear/don't know, but I'm stumped at times. A lot of the posted videos don't have captions or subtitles, and I feel like I miss the important words to sing... (and isn't intoning the 'right' words part of the whole experience??)... Also, are there any KY schools with Deaf/Hard of Hearing members?? Has anyone ever thought to finger-spell the Kriya words? That would be a help too! Namaste and Peace always, ~Justin
Guest guest
Sat Nam, You can learn the pronunciations of essential mantras at KRI at this link: http://www.kriteachings.org/tools4teachers/toolsforteachers_2.htm And for the translations, there are several resources online. Spirit Voyage I believe has one, but generally if you do a Google search, you will find plenty of people have listed " captions " of Kundalini Yoga mantras. Guest guest
Dear Justin, It seems nobody so far quite knows. The only thing I can think of is to maybe make some advances yourself. I am guessing you would need to be good with computers. Maybe you could ask various HoH charities for assistance or how to begin to go about it. If you think about it, it is something that needs to be done for people with hearing difficulties. It may be a good thing to keep in the air. All best wishes, Paul Kundalini-Yoga , " oddfellowfloyd " <oddfellowfloyd wrote: > > Sat Nam, all! > > I was hoping that someone could help me...
