Sat Nam, KartaPurkh Singh Ji -

Thank you for the reference SSSji made to the Crown of Spirituality. Because of

an intense schedule and traveling over the weekend, " today " is one of those

infrequent days of migraine for me. In celebrations of this reality, Wahe Guru

met me at the Tenth Gate a few hours ago and blessed me with the following poem,

turning dust into diamonds and trash into treasure. I'm happy to share it here

--

MIGRAINE

I love to sit and meditate

at the North Coast of my brain

where one can look out, or into,

or even beyond Forever.

Most mornings I can easily swim

in the Ocean of Infinite Possibilities

and find healing, wisdom, inspired delight -

things to share and talk about.

Today, the weather isn't so good.

The north coast is moderately socked in

by the fog and pain of migraine.

The gut is uneasy.

Mindful? Distracted? Forgetful?

Preoccupied with multi-dimensional experiences?

Has the yogi tea boiled over again,

left to its own devices while the yogi

got lost into the inspired samadhi of a new poem

just now touching land on the north coast?

My ancestors loved the arctic coast

of Norway. Sweden. And Saamish nomads

herding reindeer in the snow,

living in teepees for their nightly absorptions of worship

into the prime time archetypal samadhi of the Northern Lights,

aurora of the cosmos electrically dancing

as it must always have been dancing

for billions of years before we arrived.

The universe danced before our eyes,

as we sat and held one another with love

and for warmth. Coziness.

A deeply friendly companion ship of loved ones and family,

a community that survives you and loves you back.

And the Guru Ship sails further out and onward,

seeing and carrying us beyond the sights of this northern sea.

Mystery unfolding. Life unending.

The Spirit always coming in waves,

making each day's sadhana a fishing trip of infinite possibilities.
