Sat Nam Travis,

I enjoyed the " How NOT to become 10 x greater than Yogi Bhajan in 13 easy steps "

post but I can also understand how it could have been taken the wrong way, or at

least not the way the author ( I presume) intended. It is all a matter of

perspective.

Yogi Bhajan left us with a vast treasury of teachings - So many meditations,

kriyas, recipes, mantras, ways to dress, sleep, eat, be married, raise

children.... i don't think its even possible to follow EVERYTHING he ever

advised because he was always speaking for the situation at hand ( it seems to

me, although I never met him) as well as on a universal level. Following rules

to the letter I don't think was the point of it all... Finding what works for

YOU within his vast legacy IS. What in the practice of KY makes you light up?

Find that and do it with devotion, then all answers and everything else will

come into place for you.

Don't worry about other peoples trips. This Kundalini Community is here to

support and uplift ALL.

All I know is that its not about being perfect as per Yogi Bhajan's

instructions. That said, there is vast wisdom and real reasons behind every

single thing in that list . As a person who's life has been totally positively

transformed by this practice, I respect them all and apply what works and what I

can handle to my own life, where I am at right now, with great results! Leave

the rest for the people who choose it, but don't worry that anyone is pushing

their rules on you!! I've never seen that in this community, if it exists its

rare and not representational of the majority!

All the best to you on your Travels,

Jamila

of intentions and is supposed to be light-hearted, but it seems kind of cultish,

and if my reaction is any indication, would probably be more off-putting to

people than inspiring. I thought that the idea was to spread Kundalini Yoga with

no judgements so what's the point of making people feel guilty if their take on

the teachings is not exactly like yours? I, for one, don't think there's

anything wrong with a glass of wine once in a blue moon (I don't drink), and I

don't think I'm going to go to hell because I don't have a long beard. Your

devotion to Yogi Bhajan is admirable, and he was a great man, but the way that

you are making him a perfect person is dangerous. Even gurus are ordinary people

too. Maybe a little compassion would be more in order, rather than this daunting

standard or else mentality. If Kundalini is the Yoga of Awareness, I think it is

best to let people find
