Guest guest
Sat Nam, Is there any place, that I could go on vacation to, that does not have Mercury Retrograde? April 18 - May 11? (found a neat site on Moon Wobble, can worse than Mercury Retrograde, http://www.astrologycom.com/moonwobble.html) I was fixing a problem on my site, where I have to re-load every page I have from scratch. With all the includes (little snippets of text in little files with strange names, like ***z-nav.shtm*** that I place where I want the text to show up, while the info itself is off site) and CSS files, the Divs and so, stuff you really do not want to know about. I can explain, I think, the top of the page with the titles of site and photos is a separate include (tiny snippet) and the left navigation bar is another include, and the right column is one and the footer at the bottom of the page. So, I am getting bored with loading page after page, and I am getting clumsy. Since, I put the " Recognizing patterns of change called accidents " on my site, that pilots use in their work to prevent plane crashes, and since I have incorporated that into my daily life, when I started making too many wrong choices in uploading my pages (it is written right in-front of me what to do) -- I decided that I would do something else. I had gotten, lost earlier in the day, (every time I am working on something, something else, that I have a use for shows up) and found a bunch of Sadhana Youtube and I thought -- I'll put them up, what could be easier? So as I was creating a new page, I realized I could not just put the youtube up, I had to put the words to the mantras in as well, new people would have a hard time following some of the utubes. Ok, no problem. Then, I had to add the time and some info and some Kundalini Yoga teacher talking about how important Sadhana is, ok that's fine. And, My text editor allows me to preview my pages as I go along, otherwise I'd be working in the dark and not know what I had done. I preview every single change I make. If you get too far down the page, and find that you left a closing tag off such as </b> if you leave that one off, your entire page will turn BOLD. It can be really hard to find too. As I am adding all the info in, I find that the utubes are too big and I have to change the width and height of each one. ok did that. But how did I want to set this up, on the page, I figured that out. I was cruising along when, I got kind of bored with what I was doing, so I decided that I would work on putting the book " Waves of Healing " up. I created a new page and I was putting the info on to the page, and making sure that it was the same format as all the rest of the books. The Table of Contents really was too long for that area. So I had to make another page to put it on and then put the links to the page. Fill in the keywords, description, title (The most important thing on a web page is the Title. Period. Because it tells visitors and Search Engines what your page is all about. ), stuff like that. When, I went to Preview my work, some of it, was not showing up? I tried several times, no it was all on the page, but my html text editor could not see it, so I closed the program down, and re-opened it, it still could not see the page and and it showed all the titles following Waves of Healing as being underlined. ??? I don't know what it means, but I have to figure it out some how. I have kind of had it with this very clunky, hard to use text editor. I have been putting off getting new one for macs. But have found a wysiwyg plus I can work in code if I want to with a split screen. I think it would make life, a lot easier on me, and I can work faster, the learning curve is what bothers me. It seems to be always harder than I thought it would be. I have decided that I am going to do it anyways, in spite of mercury retrograde, and the time and feeling afraid that I am going to goof up my pages. This is life, isn't it. So, back to my original question, where can I go on vacation, that mercury retrograde will not affect me, or maybe it wont even exist there, now that would be a true vacation. Guest guest
Dear Sat Avtar Kaur, Mercury will be retrograde wherever you go on the planet. The thing is you can't just blame Mercury. Saturn has been retrograde for quite some time and won't go direct until June 1st. Saturn the planet of hard work and labour and being retrograde makes for unending work, feeling of lagging behind, always trying to catch up and endless complications and setbacks. Now Saturn is in Virgo (I only use sidereal positions, in classical Vedic astrology we only use tropical positions to calculate weather!) and Virgo is all about the details. Virgo can be tiresome in this way, getting all the finicky details right. Of course the ruler of Virgo, Mercury, being retrograde will not particularly help. The planets do show some struggle for all in some way. Mars is in debilitation (cancer) where he gets 'whacked out', and the karmic nodes will be in debilitation for some years yet. To top it off the Sun, Mercury, and Venus are in Aries whose ruler Mars is debilitated. The Moon by transit is taking the debilitated Mars energy to every sign it visits. The good thing about a weak Mars is less fighting and friction, yet it also dilutes our efforts. Jupiter is in Aquarius so is also affected by Saturn retrograde. We can relocate your chart, (although I have lost the software to do so due to computer error) yet that would not help the Mercury retrograde, it would have to be a more holistic approach based on your entire chart, including your current ruling planets. Of course all the above is general, not everybody will be affected, a lot depends on your ruling planets and transits. If you are a Virgo Ascendant (sidereal) in a Saturn dasha (ruling planet) then the effects will be strongly felt. It would seem that you are being particularly affected somehow. I am experiencing the retrograde Saturn, amongst other influences, as a virus that just wont go away, and is making me feel very rough now. The beauty of Vedic Astrology is we can be aware of these influences and see them for what they are and not take them as seriously. Retrograde planets also give us an opportunity to go back over stuff and get it right, that is why they go retrograde. I guess this is a time for patience and gentleness with ourselves, and to know that soon things will be moving forward again and with this will be that sense of us moving forward again. I feel pretty ill myself, but if I meditate and something comes up I will post some more on this, just wanted to give a bigger picture. Guest guest
Where to go when mercury is in retrograde? Go inside and reflect!!! BTW, having everything underlined means you probably left out a close tag somewhere (either </a> or </u>.
