Divine self,

sand or mud is sand. That is its intrinsic quality

and depending on the environment in which it is gets

associated attains newer but unique qualities such as

the porous nature of riverbed and the clay you can

mould in any shape.None is superior because nothing is

inferior either ,and both are part of this universe

..

It would be of interest to some of you to know that

one sub sect of the Hindu Brahmin's tradition puts on

a " U " mark on their forehead made out of white mud,

(chalk-like) and a red-mud streak in the middle

supposed to symbolically make us aware that we finally

go back there and is supposed to nurture the quality

of humility in us.

Just continuing this topic a little...

Maybe I'm rocking the boat a little, but sometimes

waves are good!...<grin>

I agree with you that you inherit many characteristics

from your parents. I

think that we have to be careful with this line of

thinking though because

it may bring about feelings of superiority, which in

its essence is contrary

to yoga!
