Guest guest
Hi I loved Ammas article of 'there's no money in it'...it is so true but it would be impossible to cash in...I couldn't even contimplate it. My husband suggested it when astanga yoga fist became popular in the UK but it just wasn't right! To emphasize this a student of mine was asking what he could expect if he did the correspondence course. He wanted to know if he would be able to do the impressive positions that are advertised everywhere...when I started to explain that this was not the point he said 'so Yoga is intended to make the body strong for the meditative aspects'...I was very glad that he knew this point for it is generally missed over here for Yoga is virtually always seen as what your body can do and you are then judged on that.
