Desh of Yognat selected for the National Best Child Award 2003-2004

The 13-year-old Miss DESH M of Yoganjali Natyalayam (Yognat), Pondicherry (www.geocities.com/yognat2001/yognat) has been selected to receive the 0NATIONAL BEST CHILD AWARD from the Indian Government’s Women and Child Welfare Department, New Delhi.

She has been selected on the basis of her achievements in Yoga, Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Music as well as other extra curricular and academic achievements.

M Desh is a student of Yognat since 8 years and has won numerous prizes and awards including the Swami Gitananda Best Child Award, Siruvar Kali Sigaram and the Sangeetha Samrat Best Young Vocalist Award amongst many others.

It is note worthy that she is the fourth Yognat student to win this National Best Child Award in the past five years after M Niraimathy, N Ramya and M Ilaval of Yognat.
