i just loved reading Rajudev's mail on the karma and chakras

this is what i set up this group for :) - a great exchange of jnana and prajna (wisdom and divine wisdom) to be shared by all of us

do keep it up

i also am enjoying Sri Balas posts and appreciate his love and devotion for Swamiji a lot

i will try to draw that cartoon so or any of you who want to try and do it and send it to me as an attachement --it will surely find its way into Yoga Life sooner than later

i also loved the photos of keshavan all colourded up like a cricketer and maise

hemaa and shivan please post the photos of James on the group for all to see the newest entrant into the balayogi/yogini club

A recent phrase in this e-mail from Sri Bala caught my attention recently when he wrote: “we neutralize the traumas and tensions of this and previous births stored in the charkas....†The passage threw a charming picture into my mind’s eye of a little cartoon character trudging from body to body struggling to manage a bag of sandwiches, the embalmed family cat, and a big satchel full of charkas. The charkas are in fact purely cosmic not karmic, and as such are the requisite stepping stones for our journey back to the source. As Swamiji used to say, “95 percent of our karma is generated in this lifetime.†That’s why the way we live is so important. It becomes a convenient excuse to think we are laboring under a mountain of debt because we squandered the serfs’ rents on an extra palace 8 lifetimes ago, when in fact it is much more likely

we just can’t organize our finances in this one. These tensions and traumas, actually memories, are stored in the cells of the body, particularly along the spinal column. When the prana leaves the body these samskaras are left behind. It is not until the mind takes up residence in a new body that the karmic imprint of that mind can resume its established patterns. dear

the way we live is very imprortant demands an inquiry not only what " we "

stands for and " live " and then comes the third word " way "

way is eternal and that is the way of divine gradullay manifesting by the

unconscious operationion of Nature. but when " we " out of igrnoance impose

liivng by ego which springs desires, unconscious moevements , we expereince

sufferings , probelms and stress in life. here " we " is reuquired to be

transfrormed which is always moving in ignorance. Ignorance is suffering is

the declaration made by Yoga unlike West which says " Ignorance is Bliss "

Live or to live is a choice of Divine who manifests as Life force in many

life forms. what we expereince as " Liivng " is ony on the surface guided by

ego, ignorance and unconsciousness of etrnal life force pulsating in one and

all without disticntion. This life force is potentailly hidden even in

matter and wiating for a moment to manifest. if we do not believe it, then

the foudnation of rebirth has to be negated. well, then where to begin

to become more and more aware or conscious of this life, its actvities, mind

and its movements here and now.

going within and allowing the mind to settle within in peace in order to

witness the reality within , totally different and seperate from material

world and its experience

The way to live is to live consciously from moment to moment , know what

lies within

srart dropping from living those elements that manifest in anxiety, stress,

problems and sufferings ( the basic problem is of ego, once surrendered, all

problems disappear).

i wonder, if i make the statement that once ego is offered, a shift in life

from ME_WORLD to DIVINE-WORLD takes over, what is left then to do in yoga.

leave aside even chakras, they get opened up, bring desied changes and one

enters into New Level of consciousness like Janaka who by just by insight

could enter into final state and started living a yogic life inside while

performing all his kingly duties.
