Yogacharini Sonia Allen-Wall is a qualified yoga therapist, clinical

reflexologist, Bates practitioner and yoga teacher with over 20 years

experience.

Sonia was awarded International Yoga Student of the Year and the

title of Yogacharini (degree) by Dr Swami Gitananda of Pondicherry

India the founder of The International Centre for Yoga Education and

Research.

Sonia is currently studying Ayvneda with Prof Frawley of the USA.

 

Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy joins together appropriate natural therapies, such as

yogic osteopathy, massage, manipulation, acupressure, diet and

nutrition in order to bring harmony and balance to the body and mind.

Braeth, relaxation Asana (special exercises) are also used.

 

Yoga therapy is most effective as it treats the problem from a number

of different angles and the person as a whole not a defective part.

 

Common problems which respond well to yoga therapy are:

 

Sciatic and back problems

Fatigue

Stress

Arthritis

Digestive problems

Glandula imbalances

Relaxation therapy CD available.

 

Yoga Classes

 

Shap School of Yoga has produced 2 international yoga students of the

year and 3 trainee teachers.

 

Drop In Classes

 

Every Monday 7 - 9 pm at Shap Memorial Hall.

 

Every Wednesday 7 - 9 pm at Cliburn Village Hall.

 

Private Classes

 

At Mere Syke each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings 10 - 11.30

am for beginers, retired and intermediate.

 

Thursdays 7 - 9.30 pm for advanced yoga breathing and philosophy.
