Guest guest
Question: I was wondering if you could offer a little illumination please on something that appeared in one of them a few weeks ago. It was a piece that mentioned prana needs water and moves over water (please see below). As far as I can recall I have not came across this before and was hoping you could kindly expand on it. Any comments or insight on this would be of much interest. · Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri has said that Prana needs water and moves over water. This explains why ancient Yogis lived near the water bodies. He used to stress the importance of proper diet and pure lifestyle in Pranayama Sadhana. If the mind is concentrated with Ekagratha on higher positive thoughts, then the Pranic forces will be powerful and manifestation of these thoughts will be even greater. Swamiji taught more than 120 Pranayamas. Anawer from Dr Jonn : Yes water absorbs and attracts prana very powerfully. Let me give you a few examples: 1: The Rosicrucians teach to put a tumbler of water at the head of the bed during night. When you wake up in the morning you drink the water which has charged with prana over night. 2: In North India they charge water with prana by pouring the water back and forth between two metal tumblers in bright sunlight. This is done a half dozen times at as great a distance as feasible - a couple of feet at least so the water going into the lower container is frothed while it fills. This pouring between tumblers, in South India, also used to be the traditional way of cooling Hot Coffee (which is possibly the best coffee in the World and peculiar to South India). 3: A hot bath discharges negative energy from trauma experiences if you soak in it. 4: Showers or Waterfalls (both examples of water flowing through air) refresh better than static baths as the water strips off negative ions (which also carry prana) so, for example, in a shower cubicle the negative ion particles are trapped and accumulated so you breath them in more abundance . 5: Meditating and doing Pranayama near a waterfall or by the sea surf is invigorating as the atmosphere has an extra abundance of Prana. 6: Most people notice after a downpour or walking by the sea how refreshing the air smells. I hope this gives you a few ideas. much love PREM Swami Anandakapila Saraswati -- _________Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup
Guest guest
Just to add on the topic. I have found Dr. Emoto's work very interesting and somehow related to the relationship between Prana and Water. Dr. Masaru Emoto was born in Japan and is a graduate of the Yokohama Municipal University and the Open International University as a Doctor of Alternative Medicine. What has put Dr. Emoto at the forefront of the study of water is his proof that thoughts and feelings affect physical reality. By producing different focused intentions through written and spoken words and music and literally presenting it to the same water samples, the water appears to " change its expression " . Essentially, Dr. Emoto captured water's 'expressions.' He developed a technique using a very powerful microscope in a very cold room along with high-speed photography, to photograph newly formed crystals of frozen water samples. Not all water samples crystallize however. Water samples from extremely polluted rivers directly seem to express the 'state' the water is in. He discovered that crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward them. He found that water from clear springs and water that has been exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns. In contrast, polluted water, or water exposed to negative thoughts, forms incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colors. The implications of this research create a new awareness of how we can positively impact the earth and our personal health.Since humans and the earth are composed mostly of water, his message is one of personal health, global environmental renewal, and a practical plan for peace that starts with each one of us. He's writen a couple of books about this, being the latest: The Hidden Messages in Water (available from Beyond Words Publishing www.beyondword.com) His web site is: http://www.masaru-emoto.net/ Hope this helps. Best regards to all. Antonio Sausys www.satyoga.com > Question: I was wondering if you could offer a little illumination > please on something that appeared in one of them a few weeks ago. Guest guest
Dear Antonio, Thank you for your interesting contribution to Dr Jonn's original contribution. As usual most thought provoking for people like me, who concentrate more on personal sadhana and developing my own discipline in this Experiential Science of Yoga.. You all are doing a great service to us. Keep up the good work. love Sri Bala.
