Swami Anandakapila Saraswati (Dr Jonn Mumford) a senior and world famous disciple of Yogamaharishi Dr Swami Gitananda Giri Guru Maharaj and a visiting faculty member of Ananda Ashram will be conducting a special course in the yogic science of Yantra from februrary4th to 17th 2006 at Ananda Ashram, ICYER, Pondicherry, India.

Swami Anandakapila Saraswati (Dr Jonn Mumford), a very wonderful teacher who has a stimulating and humour-filed manner of teaching has for the past many years conducted extremely successful Yantra courses at the Ashram and these have been very well received by the students from all over the world.

This proposed course is scheduled to include the following topics related to Yantra, Vedic Mathematics and Yoga.

v Vedic Math basics as referring to the cycles

v Shortcuts for doing the months in your head

v Red letter years and correlating them with the Karma Yuga year cycles

v Karmic cycles

v The full pattern interlocking all of the year patterns- (not given before)

v Working your personal Yantric geometrical pattern out from you time of birth

v Special calculations to clarify the transition months of October, November and December. (Not taught before)

v Relationship between Karmic cycles and the planets

v Dharma Yuga cycles

v Numbers - animistic, qualitative aspects in Hinduism.

v Three mystic sciences - Tantra-Yantra–Mantra.

v Hindu Trinity - manifesting through numerals; Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva.

v Origin of Hindu - Arabic numerals from South Indian ‘Mudra Yantra’

v Dharma Yuga (cycle of response-ability) - four ashrams: principle of “four” in Hindu philosophy- Class, goals, Individual stages.

v Calculating Dharma Yuga (Ko Ham = ‘Who am I’) from date of birth: Lunar; solar and sidereal calculations; the ‘twelve midnight’ caveat.

v Interpretation of the nine variations on the wheel of incarnation.

v Tantric “Pancha Kona” - estimating the hidden birth potential.

v Elemental Compatibility Grid - calculating your position on the grid from your day of birth (Gregorian calendar); interpreting the meaning of the elements: Water, Fire, Air, Earth.

v Vedic Square - constructing your personal birth Yantra - Indian mathematics & invention of “Casting Out Nines” & “The Digital Root”.

v Karma Yuga - calculating your personal Karmic cycles - Yearly, Monthly, Daily, Hourly cycles - Interpretation of 81 cycle combinations.

v Horary Numerology - determine outcome from the time of the question.

 

Yantra is a dynamic philosophy based on aspects of South Indian Sankhya Shastra, as passed on to Dr Jonn Mumford (Swami Anandakapila) by Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri, of Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu. Yantra is concerned with understanding the motivating forces manifesting through name and number as unconscious symbols. These symbols influence our personal destiny independently of genetic and environmental factors. Yantra does not conflict with Jyotish but is rather a sub-branch that compliments and supplements it.

Yantra has the key to life events, for your individual existence is governed by a cyclic pattern. Knowledge of this cyclic or karmic rhythm permits flowing with life, rather than ignorantly struggling against the tides of nature.

Using Yantra it is possible to calculate your cycles on a yearly, monthly, daily and hourly basis. Yantra is not numerological fortune telling but rather a technique for enhancing control of destiny. Life is not for those who want their fortunes told but rather for those prepared to make their fortune!

Yantra is that branch of Yoga which enables one to achieve inner union and harmony by a deliberate, informed manipulation of the symbols inherent in and associated with one's personal chronology. Yantra is a way of getting in tune with the ever-changing cycles of life, a way of putting life in all its forms into a set or understandable pattern of existence.

Yantra is living for a reason and a reason for living, an answer for the unanswerable.

Symbolism, psychology and mathematics are utilised in the study of Yantra Yoga, giving a key to inner life and development of intuitive faculties. Yantra (also known as Mudra Yoga) is an ancient philosophy practised by Hindu (Sankhya), Greek (Pythagorean) and Jewish (Kabala) esoteric schools.
