Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani

International Centre for Yoga Education and Research

Pondicherry, India

Dear Dr. Bhavanani

Attached is our new Call for Articles for the International Journal of Yoga Therapy.

May I ask your help in also sharing this with your colleagues that may be interested in contributing to the Journal?

Articles for the Journal are accepted any time, but for most favorable consideration for the 2006 Journal, articles should be submitted by February 1, 2006 to allow time for our new peer review process as well as our traditional strong editorial support.

Peer review is the touchstone of professional journals in the medical and scientific community. This should enhance the recognition of Yoga therapy as well as expand the professional exposure of the individual articles and authors appearing in the Journal.

Historically, the journal has been published annually in October. To better support the growing interest in the field, however, we are planning to publish twice a year, starting in 2007.

Additional information, including Manuscript Guidelines may be found on our website, www.iayt.org,

or by contacting

Kelly McGonigal, PhD, Editor in Chief

We provide strong editorial support for all accepted publications and are committed to helping authors respond to the suggestions of peer reviewers. We encourage first time authors. One of the traditions of the Journal is working with contributors who are not primarily academicians or writers.

We are also looking for additional peer reviewers. The peer review process itself can be most interesting and educational. Information on how to apply to be a peer reviewer is also on our website.

Our forthcoming Journal for 2005 is at the printers and will be distributed in mid-October. The forthcoming issue is our biggest yet and provides many fine examples of the growing depth and breadth of the discipline.

w/ warm regards,

John
