So many people resort to drinking bottled water in this modern age thinking it to be good for them when much of it is treated tap water and not the mountain spring water as suggested on the label. Is this really a healthy way to go? > > Kalavathi > Namaste, My knowledge of yoga's sketchy to say the least, so please forgive me if I've adopted too secular an interpretation of prana in the following four observations: i. Tea has greater quality if brewed in a tea pot then poured from some height into the cup, rather than being brewed in the cup's stagnant water. This might have more to do with replacing the oxygen which bubbles out during boiling than with reintroducing prana. ii. Standing in the spray at the bottom of a waterfall can help tame depression. Similarly, walking along the coast during a storm can have a positive effect on the psyche. This might have more to do with negatively charged ions encouraging seratonin production than with an increase in prana. iii. Plants and animals prefer rainwater to processed water. Are less evolved beings more sensitive to prana, or do they just refuse the chlorine and fluoride which we humans are conditioned to accept? iv. South Wales is a perfect place to wander up the mountain to gather water as it gurgles back down into the valley, just make sure you're upstream of " civilisation " - including chemical laden agricultural land. I'll step off my soapbox now, Dai.
