Dear Sir/ Madam, It is our great pleasure to invite you to the “SILVER JUBILEE ASSEMBLY OF INDIAN ACADEMY OF YOGA” on January 21-22, 2007. Kashi also known as Banaras and Varanasi, is the oldest living city of the world. It showed the path of spiritual light of Vedanta, music, art, medicine, knowledge and cultural heritage since pre historic era to the present. Some of the great sons of the soil who were associated with ‘Kashi’ by birth or by work are Kapila, Susruta, Dhanwantari, Tulsi, Kabir, Prasad, Prem Chand, Radha Krishnan, Anni Besant, Sampurnanand, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahamana

Kashi continues to be the religious and educational centre of India having four Universities and a dozen of Gurukulas to impart vedic wisdom and Yoga besides contemporary modern education. Yoga Sadhana Kendra, Yoga Therapy Unit of University and the Institute of Medical Sciences which is one of the three constituent institutes of Banaras Hindu University on the eve of Silver Jubilee Year of Indian Academy of Yoga have decided to organise the Silver Jubilee Assembly of Indian Academy of Yoga from January 21st to 22nd, 2007. The theme of the conference will be to discuss the various aspects of Health & Current trends of Yoga Therapy including History of Yoga, Approach to Yoga Therapy, Kriya, Meditation Technique, Sankhya

& Yoga, Yogic Diet, Yoga & Psychology, Astrology, Clinical evaluation, Research methodology and newer advances in Yoga therapy etc. The programme will consist of symposium, key note addresses, free paper sessions, IAY session, practical demonstrations, group discussions, meet the experts and video sessions in addition to very interesting cultural evenings with the help of distinguished artists of Varanasi. AWARD SESSION Awards have been instituted for demonstration of Yogic Asanas and for best screen type paper. FREE PAPER SESSION The free paper abstracts may be submitted in the form of title, name of the author and institution, aim of the study, summary of the paper in 200 words in duplicate.
