Guest guest
Inconvenient Truth: Only God Knows When Dr. Tushar K. Ray www.centralyoga.org Ground water pollution is a major crisis in the world: A sad fact indeed for the health of Mother Earth As effect of high altitude pollution on world glaciers Does pose a bleak future making the experts wonder How long could we go about following current course? Without lastingly hurting the world ecological poise? When would the global leaders have guts to face? For doing something politically in reversing this trend? It is still anybody’s guess, only God knows when! Those pristine, peaceful glaciers near high heaven Standing elegantly for ages watching down below Are now disappearing at an unprecedented rate Making the flow from glacier slower than ever before And soon would dry out before our very eyes Forcing folks to migrate seeking fresh water resource It is a sad scenario indeed, but is bound to happen If we fail to act now by uniting the world citizen But how soon could we do it? Only God knows when! Soon we will hear of folks living on High Mountain Migrating to lower valleys in search of water fountain Thus creating across our mother- planet many a ghost towns While folks living in valleys below suffer ground pollution So, what is the solution, how could we handle this problem? And how soon could we do it? Only God knows when! G8-leaders seem to be waking up to this runaway crisis Resulting from fatal sewerage from all industrial countries Those pouring noxious gases, fluids and toxic germ killers So must be sternly regulated using all possible means Just to reverse the current trend after centuries of inaction But how soon could we begin? God only knows again! ------------- March 13, 2005; revised 5/28/
