Today’s Scientific Spirituality

Vedanta isn’t just a scientific idea but an ideal as well

Those Vedic Seers put forth in quest of the Truth

Which anybody can pursue for a stable peace in life

By rejecting the idea of a far-off heaven and hell

This universe is a totality holding the absolute unity

Supported by a transcendental eternal entity

That forever emerges in numerous names and forms

Evolving from energy-information that is also ever-changing

This Reality is Love-transcendental known as Brahman

Yet human being can verify this subtle truth within

As our mind-body arises from this self-conscious entity

So the duo also offers us ways to ensue this reality

Yoga-meditation is the chosen tool to accomplish this task

In order to bring an extrovert mind within own body

Then dissolve it into spirit self to clear own consciousness

And enjoy the abundant fun that becomes unmasked

Brahman and this existence is like the fire and its heat

Where the last as a feature of the first always stick together

Like the ocean and its waves -- they remain inseparable

But deep beneath the wave-form a calm ocean forever exists

On securing own absolute-identity one enjoys immortality

Living onward in Brahman, the source of all creativity

Always being aware he is beyond the clutches of Nature

Never again he identifies himself with his mind-body pair

This knowledge known as self-knowledge is the top of all

Knowing this a man becomes an out and out universal

Consequently feeling all external things as part of own being

He gains all his wisdom by this mode of joyful becoming

Your comments are most inspiring. Your most recent poem on Lord Shiva was an excellent tribute to Him.

Thank you. Those sound-wave patterns characteristic of various materials are very intriguing. In my view this is not at all unexpected -- those beautiful patterns vividly reflect the nature of divine love stored in different material codes. Glory to Mother Nature! -- TKR
