Also, I may tell you that when JB and I were in Kerala a few years back I did go to the yoga classes offered by the hotels/clubs wherever we stayed and I hope these too will come under your remit as I found the standards (and attitudes + qualifications) of the 'yoga masters' varied greatly. some when asked which school of yoga they belonged to, just never turned up the next day!!! this is all very well outside India, but not I feel in the Home Country which should set the standards and lead. I appreciate that in such places the sort of teachers would be different from Ashrams etc, but am sure that this is something that can be addressed. It is one of the faces of India that is shown to the visitor to India. best loveSangeet--- On Mon, 26/5/08, Yogacharya Dr.Ananda Bhavanani <yognat2001 wrote: Yogacharya Dr.Ananda Bhavanani <yognat2001 Indian Yoga Association meeting Monday, 26 May, 2008, 2:27 PM The Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and Govt. of India has assigned the responsibility of accreditation of Yoga Institutions, Yoga Curriculum and Programmes to MDNIY.
