Guest guest
A report from Venkat-UG Diploma in Yoga student on the guest lecture held last Sunday at PUCC It was a fantastic Sunday with Dr.Paramakethu, a Siddha specialist in the Pondicherry Community College as a guest lecturer. He gave us many tips to lead a healthy life with natural and common medicine. First he gave us an introduction about him. Then he gave the theoretical aspects of the common herbs and plants available around us like Keezhanelli, Kuppameni, Ponnavidai, Semparithi, Karunthulasi, Kasturi Manjal etc. He gave the benefits of these herbs. Many common diseases were discussed & their corresponding mixture of herbs and the method of preparations were also explained briefly. There was also a practical session of preparing a syrup for skin diseases. Some of us [the students] too took the sample. The session was fully fun filled with spontaneous jokes from him. Our PG Courses Cordinator Yogacharya Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani started the session by honouring Dr. Paramakethu. In the form of gratitude Dr. Paramakethu honoured Yogacharya Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, so that he would continue this prestigious service. Guest guest
Nice reading the report from Mr. Venkat.Yes.Our elders inculcated the habit of endearing themselves with nature,a great and good reason for the health that they had enjoyed and are still enjoying....Under the pretext of keeping abreast of the latest developments in contemporary medicine,we are ignoring the cure that is abundant in nature, natural foods and herbs. Reports such as this one automatically draws our attention to hitherto forgotten facts and would go a long way in making us a bit wiser and at the end of the day,we hope to sport a healthier appearance still.
