In this Yoga as a Therapy series Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani has

discussed various aspects of Yoga as a therapy and the importance to

avoid becoming Yogopaths practicing Yogopathy by merely suppressing

symptoms using Yoga techniques. In this article he explains some

methods of dealing with patients of one of the major psychosomatic,

stress based, lifestyle disorders, namely hypertension.Hypertension or

high blood pressure occurs when pressure inside the blood vessels is

higher than the normal expected values for age and gender. Yoga when

adopted as a way of life, has a lot to offer for those suffering from

this stress induced psychosomatic lifestyle disorder that is a silent

killer.http://icyer.com/documents/yoga%20as%20a%20therpy-10-Hypertension%20and%20its%20yogic%20management.pdf
