World Wide Yoga Conference 2009

Schedule Lecture and workshop

Rome - Italy 18- 20 September 2009

The Conference will begin Friday, September 18th at 16,30 with an opening ceremony and the lighting of the Dhipa (Light of Peace).

 

Swami Shivananda and Swamini Savitryananda, of Surya Chandra Yoga Ashram of Rome, will welcome all participants.

 

Then will follow some songs (bajan-kirtan) where all the present can participate in a spirit of feast.

All the lectures will be hold inside a theater on whose stage there will be placed a presidency table where will sit the various Yoga personalities, above mentioned, and the variuous yoga teachers who will hold the lecture.

 

The Auditorium also has several rooms of varoius sizes that will be used to hold workshops at theme (which will last about 2 hours each).

 

In one of this rooms will take place, for the first time in Rome, the World Championship of Yoga Asanas, where teams of International Yoga Sport Federations will perform demonstrations of rhythmic and artistic yoga asana, naturally in a healthy yogic spirit, and of which we are happy to be the organizers and the host city.
