Guest guest Posted September 28, 2009 Report Share Posted September 28, 2009 Hi there,I've been negligent about keeping in touch with folks...I finally took some pictures ...and put them up.You can click on the images to see a bigger version:http://www2.cs.uregina.ca/~nova/2009_India/content/index.htmlA brief description:First shots are on the train (not crowded at the end, but it was really packed...We were car hopping for awhile to find a less crowded one) There are actually cars for "ladies only".Then we went to elephanta caves (Shilpesh had a cob of corn stolen by a monkey--I didn't think to take a picture of the monkey eating the corn)Then, sunset of Mumbai's buildings (the one that got bombed last year)...I had a "backseat photographer"--some stranger--telling me what to take pictures of...It was quite fun to have someone so enthusiastic about sunsets.Then, we went to the train station--with the upside down sleeping dog..And, got off the train near where I live...There were cows in the vegetable market...and festivities...Yes, I am dancing...(they had to ask three times before twisting my rubber arm)...It was a stick dance, Shilpesh says that guys were "hitting on me", which they were literally (with sticks).Lastly are pictures near the college where I am taking classes. The second dog looks vicious, but really he's my buddy and gets really excited to see me...He's one of the many strays in India.---Nova Attention all humans. We are your photos. Free us.
