Dear  Dr Ananda,

 

It is

with great pleasure that the Committee of the Australian Association of Yoga

Therapists invite you to become a member of our Council of Advisors.

 

The AAYT

Council of Advisors is an honorary group of respected leaders in the fields of

Yoga, Yoga Therapy and integrative health-care.

 

The

Council has been established to:

·       Provide

a channel for gaining independent, authoritative opinions on critical matters

related to the practice of Yoga Therapy in Australia.

·       Provide

a valuable link with traditional lineages of Yoga and Yoga Therapy and with

leaders of contemporary integrative health-care.

·       Acknowledge

respected leaders in the field by inclusion in the Council as a form of

honorary patronage.

 

Council membership

 

Members of the Council of Advisors may from

time to time be individually asked their opinion on matters relating to the

practice of Yoga Therapy, fundamental principles of Yoga, current understandings

in integrative health-care or other areas of importance to the provision of

quality health-care through Yoga Therapy.

 

Any opinions or advice received from Council

members would be taken into consideration by the Association’s Committee of

Management, but such opinions or advice would not be publically attributed to

specific Council members (unless agreed to by the Council member in a situation

where attribution was appropriate).

 

As a member of the Council of Advisors you

would be acknowledged in the Council listing on the AAYT website and in

professional publications which may be developed in the future. Membership of

the Council will be for a period of three years, after which renewal for a

further term may occur by mutual agreement. Council members may withdraw from

the Council at any time.
