Guest guest
Hi Anna I had a comment to add on a modification for vinyasas. I wrote earlier from my other email address about a lady who has your body type and practices ashtanga gracefully. After practice today I asked her how she adjusts for vinyasas. She says that her vinyasas are basically like a cat-cow motion. Getting out of the asana, she gets to her knees as if she was going to do cow pose. She then puts her stomach on the floor, pushes with her arms into cobra (as a modification for upward dog), from there she pushes back as if she was going to go to childs pose. At that point, the straightens her legs and walks them up to her hands. She says that the books " Ashtanga for Women " and " Mega Yoga " have helped her understand the practice and adjust it for her body type. Hope that helps.
