Guest guest
... hey yoga babe.. you seem to be in agreement with me on Savasana.. i agree with Guruji, for me it is the most advanced asana i practice.. it is not enough to just take rest. As far as i see it, we are all practicing yoga weather we are aware of it or not.. weather we practice asana or not.. we are all in the processes of self realization/rememberance. As i said in my previous post yoga is just a tool to straighten out our hearts and minds.. and i mean this not just for ourselves but for the greater good we are a part of.. Asana is after all only one form of yoga. There are many ways to practice. mart > " yoga_babe2000 " <yoga_babe2000 >ashtangayoga >ashtangayoga >ashtanga yoga Re: Knees >Sun, 24 Jun 2007 06:29:36 -0000 > >Guruji says the last pose of the sequence is not savasana. Guest guest
Hello, I too have been dealing with an injury (low back) lately. The beauty of yoga is that our practice is our own and so we move to our places of tension or resistance, then gently encourage expansion. we are fortunate to have discovered this ancient wisdom that not only teaches us about the care of the body with Asana, but has also given us the tools we can use to approach right livelihood, breath, contemplation, etc...If the body is not currently capable of full Asana practice, it is an opportunity for exploration of the other 7 limbs of Ashtanga. Be kind with yourself. Namaste ______________________________\ ____ 8:00? 8:25? 8:40? Guest guest
.... yes and also perhaps the comments i gave to Will are of some relevence for you Vik... a full astanga practice is not suitable for everyone. Surya Namaskara, some standing sequence and the finishing asana maybe. Most important is to listen to your body as Suzanne points out. mart. >Suzanne Silvermoon <silvermoonmdwf >ashtangayoga >ashtangayoga >ashtanga yoga knees >Sat, 7 Jul 2007 04:24:38 -0700 (PDT) > > > Hello, I too have been dealing with an injury (low back) lately.
