Guest guest
Rene, i moved into Ashtanga primarily because I did not like all the pauses and standing around typical of most Iyengar classes. The class I was in had more than 35 students and the teacher had to stop and do lots of demonstrating. I felt as if I was getting warmed up and cooled down too often. In addition the class was actually :50min so by the time you really got started we spent 40-45 min on yoga minus all the breaks. With Mysore i can move thru the asanas for an hour and a half with few, if any breaks. it's a very personal preference and obviously there are many thousands of practitioners who like and prefer Iyengar. -- enn
