Guest guest
Hello everyone. I'm new to your group here.I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name is LaMonica, I'm 35. I'm married no kids. I took yoga for a few months a few years ago...but life, and being unable to afford the classes took me away. But I still remember how wonderful I felt after I took the classes. No I am trying to get back into yoga. In fact I am stepping in the direction of not only making it a part of my daily life..but I am seriously thinking about one day becoming an instructor. Of course, I will have to break through my beginner's level and move at least to intermediate to start down that path. But I wanted to join your group, cause I will most likely only be able to practice from my home, and I would love some inspiration and help along the way. I hope to talk to you soon. Thanx Namaste LaMonica

Guest guest
Hi LaMonica, Cost can definitely be a huge factor. A lot of yoga studios let people work in exchange for classes. You should inquire at the studio you go to. Take care, Rochelle
Guest guest
Welcome LaMonica! I am actually new to the group and never introduced myself, so here i go.. My name is Melissa and I just recently begun a 200 hour yoga certification course. I was practicing yoga for about (hummm) atleast 4 years prior to me starting, although I did stop for about a year before doing this certification course. Please know that others in my yoga certification course are much older than you and some are only there to learn more about yoga, therefore the world is in your hands. You are never too young/old to start a new life with yoga. Just keep practicing either at home and/or at a location yoga studio to get yourself in a comfortable stage within your yoga practice. Guest guest
Welcome to the group and best wishes for your goal of being an instructor. It is so sad that cost keeps folks from pursuing yoga, meditation and the like. I am very fortunate to know of many folks that " charge " donation only fees. You might keep that in mind when you start your practice as in instructor. Namaste

Guest guest
hi LaMonica, yes, i am 36, had a baby 6 months ago and undergoing my teacher training also, and am practising as much as i can in my lounge room in the mornings. i have had to delay the teacher training but my asana in the morning gives me a great re-charge for the day, so hang in there and be kind to yourself, there is the cost but there is also a great book 'Ashtanga Yoga for Women' by Michaela Clarke that is available on the ashtanga.com website (but i photocopied mine for $4 from my local library as i wanted to scribble on the pages!); it outlines the entire primary series, and i went by it on my lounge room floor - you will know the sequence in no time if you keep practising it and it has been no end of inspiration to me. let me know if there is anything you would like help with - i have had to tighten purse strings as well but there is always a way! namaste, sophie xxx
