Guest guest
Marco, as soon as I saw your email I thought of Arjuna... here is his website http://en.yogashala.info/arjuna/index.html he is a medical doctor and a very advanced student/teacher of ashtanga, perhaps you could contact him, I am sure he could give you some good pointers. Guest guest
Dear Marco, It will be beneficial for you to start PRANAYAM (BREATHING EXCERCISES) THEY DO NOT PUT STRAIN ON THE SYSTEM and very beneficial especially for people with heart problems. you can try the site " divya yoga peeth " or check for swami ramdev in Google Tapan

Guest guest
Helloe Marcoweigang, Before I say I feel unpleasant about your heart condition at such an young age, let me assure you there is every hope and solution to your problem. People say that there is always a ray of light at the end of tunnel but let me assure you that you can expect full sunshine at the end of the tunnel. Your doctor's advice, medicines and ashtanga practice can complement one another in enabling you to lead a quality life for the rest of your life. The best thing, as you said, is that you have given up meat and alcohol. This itself will alleviate half of your problem. Anuloma Viloma or Nadishodan Pranayama is proven to calm and strengthen the heart but you must practise it under the guidance of a teacher/expert on this subject and do it slowly. One last, but not least, thing is to feel happy about everything that life has to offer. To be happy is to feel happy and to be able to feel happy you need make it a habit to feel happy and good. Best Wishes to you and all group members RAVI
