Guest guest
Hi all... I've always been in great shape (swam competitively in high school, played varsity basketball) and at ideal weight until I entered nursing school where I unfortunately gained 30 lbs over my last 2 years of study. I've since found Ashtanga yoga and it has been a such a healing, relaxing and rejuvenating part of my life. Instead of stress eating, I know do yoga and feel so alive and fulfilled - and definitely less stressed! However, since starting, I've only lost 12 pounds. I'd like to finish losing the rest of my weight and tone up all over. I do 2 classes of Ashtanga primary series at a shala and 2 days on my own. Should I increase the amount of days I practice or should I add another form of exercise to the mix? I feel like Ashtanga is toning me up in so many areas, but some areas remained untouched (like inner and outer thighs). And although my core is getting stronger, I'm not see much of a loss of fat around my stomach. I'm a vegetarian and eat well, so just looking for what else I can do in my practice or outside to lose my remaining weight in the next 3 months or so. Thanks in advance!
