Sciatica

Hi Jason,

Since my mail I have had scans of my spine and there is no apparent pinching

of the sciatic nerve. Have also had an ace massage, and been told that what

is happening (with me) is that my pirra formus muscle (sp?) which is very

deep and anchors the sacrum (I'm sure someone wlse knows the technical

details better than me - anatomy is not my strong point) has been aggravated

by too much enthusiasm in down dog, and too vigorous attempts to get heels

to floor. The result is that the pirra formus is pinching the sciatic

nerve. After one massge it is MUCH IMPROVED and I have now backed off from

my desperate attempts to get heels to floor, letting it come in its own

time.

I suggest you also contact a good massuer, or a Rolfer, to see if you too

can get to the root of your problem.

Thanks for the tips on practice

Best, Annie
