MYSORE Question for YAMILEE

Hi, Barbara--

 

I can't for the life of my remember the name of the place where I took

it, but I can give you directions to get there. Walk down the street

of ths shala as if you are walking to Shruti's parents' house

(Sharath's in-laws-- they make very nice lunches just up the street

from the shala, so it's a good place to know). Pass their house and

when you get to the end of the shala road, turn right. Walk down

maybe 1-2 blocks. You'll see a street on the right where there's a

small boutique, keep walking straight a little further and on the

left, there's a house where they prepare breakfast and lunch-- a lot

of the yoga students know the house and could tell you the name of the

place. Sorry to be so vague, but I really can't remember the name.

 

Anyway, they offer the yoga sutra class that I mentioned-- if you get

2 or more students together, you can set a time in the mid-morning for

when you'll take the class, and the teacher is excellent. I'm out of

town right now, but have his name written down at home so I'll email

it to you in a few days.

 

I hope you're enjoying Mysore! I would recommend checking out Dr.

Kumar's new ayurvedic health center while you're there. He was

finishing it while I was there and it sounded like it was going to be

great. I did panchakarma with him, but at his older clinic, but I

imagine the new place is really nice.

What is the ayurvedic centre for ? Do they teach ayurveda ?
