'Journey into Power ' is the Ashtanga instruction book if your working at

Ashtanga alone. It is both descriptive & visual, providing also the mental,

physical & spiritual focus/benefit of each asana. The book takes the reader

step by step from beginners practice through to advanced. Above all it is quite

inspirational & moving because the author (sorry I haven't got the book at hand

to provide authors' name but I can get it if anyone needs it) takes the reader

through his lifelong journey & shares his Ashtanga born life transformations

along the way.

 

It's definitely worth a look anyway. Hope this helps.

" Journey into Power " by Baron Baptiste is actually not Ashtangayoga but

" power yoga " . I agree that the instructions are quite good, but the sequence

is not the primary series of Ashtanga yoga according to Sri K. P. Jois.
