Guest guest
Hi everybody! I just joined the group. I started to practice 5 years ago, but never had the chance to do it continously. Now i´m finally planning a trip to India for march or april but I don´t know if I´ll have the enough amount to go directly to AYRI. So I´ll be really pleased if someone can help me with any information about cheaper places to start and experience the practice there... Thanks a lot!!!! Guest guest
Hi Suzel, I'm currently considering going to practice with Rolf and Marci in Goa. I am not sure about the prices but they are cheaper than Mysore. Cheers, Colin >
Guest guest
Rolf and Marci are, of course, great, but I understand that their classes are very full. They are in Candolim at the moment. Alternatives are Gabriella Pascoli, who is based in Badem, near Vagator / Chapora (you can email her on gabypascoli) and also Purple Valley Retreat (most workshops also have a non-residential option) at www.yogagoa.com) and also Brahmani Yoga (www.brahmaniyoga.com, but they don't have an authorised teacher). There is certainly plenty of good ashtanga in North Goa ! and the weather is great ... temps currently around 30 degrees in the middle of day, and 15 at night. Better than Europe or N.America right now ! ashtangayoga , " colinthompson70 " <colinthompson70 wrote: > > Hi Suzel, > > I'm currently considering going to practice with Rolf and Marci in > Goa. Guest guest
Hi, I'm planning to go to the Purple Valley Yoga centre in Goa at the end of march for a couple of weeks with Kino & Tim, there's a range of prices depending on your accomodation needs. Perhaps this will help? The course looks great, really inspiring. There are also drop in classes at the centre (or the sister site of the centre which is nearby) and you can go to as many or as few of these as you like, so it doesn't need to be expensive. Hope this helps, Namaste Helen xx

Guest guest
Hi For AYRI (now KPJAYI), they have to receive your application at least 60 days before starting, so too late for march anyway. Personally, the quality of teaching is so good that I'd rather go 1 month at KPJAYI than 1 year anywhere else. You will find easily other places to practice ashtanga in Mysore, but I am not sure if they follow tradition. --- On Thu, 15/1/09, anneke_sips <anneke_sips wrote: anneke_sips <anneke_sips ashtanga yoga Re: Information ashtangayoga Thursday, 15 January, 2009, 11:08 AM ashtangayoga, " suzelbraun " <suzelbraun@ ...> wrote: > > Hi everybody! > I just joined the group. Guest guest
Hi, you can practice with Louise Ellis, in Rishikesh, Laxman Jula. Find her site at www.kpjayi.org, she is a certified teacher. I practiced with her last year there, was a very good experience. Have a nice trip and practice!
