Guest guest
Check www.downwarddog.com a teacher training with Ron Reid and Diane Bruni. They are both excellent teachers and I've done a couple of trainings with them! Guest guest
A very good alternative to teacher training programs is to take a month and really immerse oneself in daily Mysore-style practice with an experienced teacher. It's usually considerably cheaper than buying a certificate from one of the teacher training mills too, even factoring in travel and lodging. Of course I don't know what the level of experience of anyone posting these questions is, but spending several years under the guidance of an experienced teacher becoming intimate with the primary series and beginning to learn intermediate is a good place to consider beginning to teach from. At that point it might be worth considering doing an intensive with someone like Tim Miller, Richard Freeman, Nancy Gilgoff, etc. Cheers. Guest guest
I was in Ubud, Bali for 2 weeks in November last year, and found the classes at Yoga Barn to be cheap and mostly well conducted. I am just a beginner though. They did not offer ashtanga, it was a variety of styles. The price of this retreat is a lot more than we paid. See here for current prices/schedules: http://www.balispirit.com/yoga/classes.html I spent about $20/night on mid-range comfy accommodations with pool down the road (Artini 2) and other places are even cheaper. Ubud is a great place to do yoga! or anything you want, really. Cheryl in Tokyo " ashtangayoga " <ashtangayoga > 2a. Re: Yoga Teacher Training Retreats in Bali and India ______________________ 2a.
