Guest guest
Does anyone experience being grumpy on your day off or moon days? I know my body needs a rest, but I just don't feel right when I don't get my practice in. Thanks!
Guest guest
I meditate every day, and sometimes I find a different type of exercise makes a big difference in how my body feels. Guest guest
Moon days present a great opportunity to broaden your practice. You can explore other approaches to asana, for example, take an iyengar class, a restorative class, a yin class, etc. You can explore other limbs e.g, pranayama, meditation, chanting, etc. -Tom On Sat, Jun 13, 2009 at 5:14 PM, Joseph Yorio <josephyorio wrote: > > > Does anyone experience being grumpy on your day off or moon days? > > I know my body needs a rest, but I just don't feel right when I don't get > my practice in. > > Thanks! > > >
Guest guest
I believe that practicing yoga means listening to your body. There are traditions and superstitions in Ashtanga yoga and the bottom line is -do what your body (spirit/intuition/non thinking mind/Universe/God) is telling you to do. The ideas of yoga are simple yet hard to practice (for real).. Guest guest
I like that, Gayle. The original discomfort could be an ego thing - I * should* do my asanas because they identify me - or it could be Joseph's body saying this is a good day to move. He should be able to tell the difference, right? D

It helps to know that that's what's going on. I think the best thing is to take the day as a rest day in general, and give yourself and those around you some extra slack.
