I'm here in Goa, where I live for 6 months each year. There is some yoga in the

South, but most is in the North.

For Beach Yoga, there are places at Mandrem such as at Dunes and a place called

Yab Yum, but the 'best' in terms of teachers is at Purple Valley, about 3kms

from the beach and residential only (www.yogagoa.com) or Brahmani Yoga

(www.brahmaniyogao.com) for drop-in classes. There is excellent ashtanga with

Rolf Naujokat and Marci at Candolim, or with Gabriela Pascoli

(gabypascoli) at Badem, near Vagator.

There are also retreats at Satsanga, at Parra.

 

Sharath is in Goa for three weeks at Purple Valley, and there were some

non-residential places still available on that, for people who have studied with

him or Guruji at some time anywhere in the world (in other words, who know

Mysore style and are familiar with Primary). There are also other first rate

visiting ashtanga teachers at Purple Valley over the season (it closes in April,

but Feb and March are the best months 0 after that it gets too hot.) I can

strongly recommend Gaby, and of course Rolf and Marci too.
