Guest guest
Jai Gurudev, Dear Guru bahen Jyoti, If you do Dhyana and Sadhna it only unfolds your sub conscious mind. When you withdraw your senses from mudane tasks and reduce the thought processes going on in your mind then whatever has been buried in the layers of sub conscious mind comes up. If there is anger then anger will come up, if there is ego then ego will come up. Mind has a stereophonic recording of all the events. It not only stores iputs from all the sense organs, it also stores the accompnying feelings. Main trick of going beyond ego and do cleansing of your mind, is to develop a Spectator or Drashta Bhav. If for example there is a memory of a fight you had with your neighbour some time back. That thought may resurface during Meditation. It will also revoke the feeling of anger that you felt at the time of incident. But now you are not a participant but rather you a mute spectator. By being a spectator you remove the feelings from your memories. Now these memories will not have the power to revive your bad feelings and thus you transcent anger, hate, greed, ego etc. You will feel incredibily light by offloading so much unnecessary baggage from your mind and go that much closer to Samadhi and salvation. This is my experience and viewpoint. Guest guest
Dearest Prabhu Vashista, Jai Guru Dev! Your response is helpful. Drashta Bhav is something I need to cultivate. I find myself replayng events in my head during meditation and as you said, there are the accompanying feelings. Please tell how does one develop Drashta Bhav ?
