Great that you are thinking of having shivir organised in Visakha. A beautiful place. Would you think there will be enough sadhaks to take Guru Dikchya. There is no prescribed number but there should at least be 200 to 500 initiations. And please note that Shivirs once granted are conducted by Gurudham.

 

Shivirs are usually organised by local gurubhais and involve total shivir management including

 

Transport - Param Pujya Gurudev

Acoommodation - Param Pujya Gurudev

Transport - Gurudham volunteers (up to six pax)

Accommodation - Gurudham volunteers

Food for Guru Parivar members.

Local conveyance.

 

 

On the public front - management of the following also is the responsibility of the organisers

 

Convention place (Tented or permanent)

Stage and Stage decoration

Puja mangement

Accommodation arrangement for all participants.

One meal a day for all participants.

Sadhana Samagri stall for sales space and furnitutre

Registration stall/ office

Tea and snax (sales) stalls also have become mandatory for the participants

 

Once you have lined up the above please conatct Param Pujya Gurudev for approval and grant of Shivir date. Best is you form an organising committee make plan and meet Param Pujya Gurudev at Gurudham (by appointment) or any other Shivir.

Recently Some of friends faith at Gurdev. we are interested to take Dikshas like Guru Diksha etc. But there is no access in Visakhapatnam. Hence I request you to please conduct Shivars in Visakhapatnam to take Dikshas

I live in Visakhapatnam and a devotee of Gurudev. I am an initiate. Yes it would be great to have a Shivir at Visakhapatnam and for that I can sponsor Bayfront Tenneti park with a Giant LED screen. Kindly let us plan for the same and I am sure we would have many devotees from A.P. as well as the neighbouring states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Maharastra and Chattisgad.
