Guest guest
Respected ones, I seek your guidance on the correct version of the devi kadgamAlA stotram's. I have seen a few versions, including printed ones and taken from the net. There are two areas in which I have my doubt. Request your help in clarifying these pl. 1. There is a difference in the listing of the siddhis. Some include garima siddhi, while others dont. Some have totally eleven siddhis. There are only 10 positions in the first line of the bhoopura, hence where does one position the sarvakAma siddhi, if we take the '11 siddhi 'version. 2. Some texts on reading of the Srichakra, say that the positions of the devis in the pratamAvarNA alone come in a pradakshina sequence, while devIs in all other AvarNA come in an apradakshina sequence. There are some other texts which say that devIs in prtama, dwitheeya, triteeya AvarNAs come in pradkshina; devis in all other AvarNAs come in apradakshina sequence. Which of these is correct? Request your enlightened inputs. apaadakshamaarpanam. With prayers to Her Gopi _________ New Mail is the ultimate force in competitive emailing. Find out more at the Mail Championships. Guest guest
Dear Sushree Mangala Thanks for the inputs and the lead. On the flip side, this adds one more version to my list! May be I need to increase my prayers to let HER guide me to the correct version. May be this is a " gupt " knowledge that the learned members of this team dont want to share in a common forum. Once again, thanks for the inputs. Gopi _________ Answers - Got a question? Someone out there knows the answer. Guest guest
Om Srimaatre namaH. Actually, a version of the Kadgamala that I have adds further to the confusion to the discussion re the siddhis and their placement. The version in question is in a full sarannavarathri pooja kalpa, edited by Brahmashree Chandrashekara Iyer. In it there are 12 siddhis in the outer chakra - Anima,Lahima,Gharima,Mahima,Isitva,Vasithva,Prakamya,Bhukti,Iccha,Pra pti,Sarvakama,Moksha. (the gharima and moksha siddhis do not occur in two other versions I have, and gharima is mentioned in another but not moksha siddhi). Further, the next set lists the following bhairavi devis Asitanga bhairavi,Ruru bhairavi,Chanda bhairavi,Krodha bhairavi,Unmata bhairavi,Kapala bhairavi,Bhikshana bhairavi and Samhara bhairavi. This list of the 8 bhairavis preceeds the 8 matruka devis in the second line. I do not have this set in any other version and would be very greatful for upasakas who may know their placements to enlighten me on that aspect. Sri gurubhyo namaha. , Gopi <antarurjas wrote: > > Dear Sushree Mangala > > Thanks for the inputs and the lead. On the flip side, this adds one more version to my list! Guest guest
Leaving the exact details to knowledgable members on the upAsana vidhi-s, I like to point out that usually there are multiple versions with slight differences in text and methods for many of these things. A learned member said in the past that when such is the case, one should follow only that method taught by their teacher. In case the teacher is no longer here, from a senior/elderly disciple of the teacher. There is also a statement probably in the rudrayAmala or elsewhere confirming the above. Probably this explains the silence of many upAsaka-s in the list on this matter?
